Imphal, November 7: In continuation of security measures taken up in and around Imphal for smooth conduct of the upcoming Manipur Sangai Fetival, police today conducted cordon and search operation (CASO) at New Checkon in Imphal East.
The CASO was conducted from 6:30 am to 8 am at New Checkon Mandop leirak under the supervision of superintendent of Imphal East police Kabib. Police commandoes and women police were utilised in the operation.
During the search operation 250 male and 105 female were checked for verification. Seven men were picked up for further verification and taken to Porompat police station.
