RADHESHYAM LAUNCHES EDUCATION TRAINING PROGRAMME

Education Minister Th. Radheshyam today launched a two-day Training Programme of the Education (S) at the multipurpose hall SCERT complex, Lamphelpat.

The training programme was conducted under the theme “Equiping The Students To Face Challenges Of 21st Century Education : Role Of Teachers & Society”.

Radheshyam observed the training as an important part of the effort to develop the education system in the state. He said the rpogramme was aimed to equip the teachers with the latest updates of the teaching and learning process so that they could in turn facilitate the students according to the need of time.

Highlighting the need to imbibe in the students the ability to make good decisions Radheshyam said students should be trained in such a way that they are able to make good decisions and be ready to face every challenge they face in life. The young minds should be imparted knowledge in such a way that they can analyse the pros and cons before taking a decision. Education is not about how much a student scores in his exam, but about how one faces and solves his problems, added the minister.

He said any issue or problem we face today impacts the political, academic, economy, legal and social aspects of the society. The younger generation has moved ahead in the use of technology and there is a need for the teachers and the older generation to catch up so that everyone could reap the benefits of technology, he added.

Saying that success of the training programme lies in equal participation of both the trainers and the trainees, Radheshyam urged the participants not to hesitate in raising any query during the training.

Parliamentary secretary, education K. Robindro Singh and principal secretary, education (S) Vineet Joshi were present among others.

The training is being participated by teachers and officials from the four zones of Thoubal, Imphal East, Wangoi and Kakching.
