Imphal October 16, 2017 (DIPR): Education Minister Shri Thokchom Radheshyam Singh said that the students, to become a good and successful human must imbibe themselves with the capability to learn to prioritise the issues of life. He said every issue can be resolved through talks and peaceful means.
The Minister was speaking as Chief Guest at the Annual Fresher’s Meet and Literary Meet of the Johnstone Higher Secondary School, Imphal. He pointed out to the students that to become a good human, one has to have a beautiful mind, soul and heart. Human by nature is pessimist, but for the betterment and positivity of the society one should always try to remain optimist, he added.
He urged the teachers to identify strengths and weaknesses of the students’ and set a target to make the best out of the students. There is no failure in life, but lessons to be learned. Limitations should never be set for the students of what they can and they can’t. The students have the right to stop the infrastructure work in the school if it is not need based and maintaining the quality of the developmental constructions, he added.
He said the students need to be made to realise that education is not just to obtain marks, but to become capable to face the challenges that life throws them. He said like members of huge family having same opportunity, every student has equal right to the experienced and qualified teachers so when teachers are transferred, it should be appreciated.
He said without sanction post even if the teachers are promoted or transferred they would face certain problems related to their service. He urged everyone present in the meet to become the solution rather than becoming part of the problem for there is always a solution for every problem. He said the young minds need to be imbibed with moral value to become successful citizens.
The Principal, teachers, staff and students of the school were also present during the meet. The teachers and the students of the school highlighted the need and requirements of the schools during the meet.
