Police has conducted house to house search operation at the areas surrounding assembly complex to ensure smooth conduct of the state assembly session that began today.
About hundred houses were searched for any existence of miscreants in the operation and spot verification were conducted. Two persons without valid identification proofs were picked up and handed over to Lamphel Police for further verification and necessary legal procedures.
The search operation was conducted from 5 am to 7 am by a team of Imphal West police commando led by Thangkhochon Haokip, deputy superintendent of police (Operations) Imphal West.
In another police move a cordoned and search operation was conducted at Hatta Gollapati Imphal river side from 4 am to 6. 15 am today by Imphal East police under the instruction of superintendent of police K. Kabib under the supervision of deputy superintendent of police (cdo) Robinson and officer in charge (cdo) B. Lungthang Vaifei.
Fourteenperson including 5 persons suspected to be non-native were picked up for further verification and handed over to Porompat police.
