Imphal: Social Worker Ningthi Village, Kamjong Marius Shimray has complained that the PMGSY scheme has failed to implement accordingly.
Shimray, in a statement issued on Monday, said Kamjong Assam Rifle restored road connectivity from Sampui Junction (Kamjong Hq.) to Ningthi village (PMGSY) road which was blocked by a major landslide.
The effort of Assam Rifle Kamjong in restoring road connectivity blocked by a major landslide between Sampui Junction Kamjong Hq. to Ningthi Village is highly appreciable. While, the concern authority (PMGSY) failed totally to consider the repeated appeal by the village authority Ningthi during this hardest situation and before, was very unfortunate, he said.
The attitude of PMGSY department Manipur was very shocking. That, the road from Sampui to Ningthi village was not constructed nor completed but only sprinkling of some pebbles in some areas. Therefore, no drainage, no culvert, no retaining wall but only clearance of road in some areas cannot be just said as completion, he added.
Amidst, this worse situation, when department of PMGSY ignored the repeated appeal of the village authority, Assam Rifle Kamjong rushed into the major blocked road, that has brought relief to the effected citizens of Ningthi village. Their good services rendered during the hardest situation will always be remembered and thankful, he said.
