People of Tamenglong District today celebrated “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sammelan” on 3 years achievement of Modi Government at Indoor stadium Tamenglong. The programme was jointly organised by BSNL Tamenglong in collaboration with BJP Tamenglong district Manipur.
The occasion was graced by Ksh. Bhabananda Singh, MP, Rajya Sabha and president BJP Manipur Pradesh as chief guest. Samuel Jendai local MLA Tamenglong;Namsinrei Panmei, Chairman, ADC Tamenglong; Amrstrong Pame, IAS, Deputy Commissioner Tamenglong; AdimPamei, Vice President, BJP Manipur Pradesh; N. Nimbus Singh, General Secretary, BJP, Manipur Pradesh and Dr Nimaichand Luwang, Former Minister were attended as Guests of Honour. M. Daniel, President, BJP, Tamenglong District graced the sammelanas President.
In his speech as chief guest, Ksh. Bhabananda Singh lamented that under the dynamic leadership of CM ShriN. Biren Singh Tamenglong district will be developed in all round sectors. He said since BJP came to power 22% of the National Highway projects in Manipur has completed so far. Under the leadership of MLA Samuel Jendai and DC, Tamenglong, Armstrong Pame will contribute their level best in developing the district. He also assured to extend and support all his capacity to develop the District. With the coming of the Modi government various schemes and developmental projects in Manipur were also successfully implemented for various sections of the society be it women, old age, students and poor people exclaimed the Chief Guest.
Since the BJP government came to power in Manipur the ideology of “Ching- Tam” came to alive in Manipur said the Local MLA Samuel Jendai. After the results of state assembly election 2017, Tamenglong road condition has improved tremendously. He also said Kangchup-Tamenglong road construction under the ADB project will be completed very soon. PWD will start executing the road construction of Kaiphundai to Tousem. Samuel Jendai requested all the government officials to work sincerely in order to develop the Tamenglong Distrtict.
Deputy Commissioner of Tamenglong, Armstrong Pame requested the MP RajyaSabha to consider in pressing the centre to implement whatever the projects passed from Tamenglong District. After closing the program at Indoor stadium the villagers of Khangchiuluan Village, Tamenglong donated 4 (four) acres of land free of cost for construction of Kendriya Vidyalaya School in the presence of MP Rajya Sabha and local MLA in the office chamber of Tamenglong DC and deed of land donation was signed between deputy Commissioner Tamenglong and land donors. The villagers donated the land in the conditioned that it is to be utilised for educational purpose only and it should be commissioned within 5 (five) years and if not it should stand automatically returned to the land owners/donors.
