Imphal: Education Minister Shri Th. Radheshyam said an educational policy to check for the proper regulation of private schools is underway. The minister appreciated the contributions of the private schools in imparting education in the state. However, he pointed out that for better functioning of every educational institution in Manipur, there is need for having a private schools’ policy.
The Education Minister was speaking as chief guest at the K.M. Blooming Higher Secondary School annual toppers felicitation function of High School Leaving Certificate Examination & Higher Secondary Examination – 2017, Khangabok. Certain norms have been lay down by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur under the Recognition Rules – Condition for Recognition of High School.
Running a school in a very limited small space, packing all the students in one small courtyard or in a very congested room is unacceptable. Thus, an educational policy is being draft to curve such ugly feature that some times threatens the real essence of education and its institution be brought to an end, he added. The minister also assured that the policy will be a friendly one to the private schools and will help the schools more in grooming students and educational facilities of an institution.
Congratulating the position holders of the schools and felicitating them he said no matter where the students is they should always respect and regards their teachers because without them whatever they are achieving today wouldn’t have been possible. Every successful candidates of today, he said, should imbibe themselves with sense of responsibility, to serve and sacrifice for the welfare of humanity. Because he said education without these qualities, their education becomes meaningless. The real fruit of education can only be achieved when they start contributing towards the society after they achieved their goals and aims of their life he added.
