Imphal: As part of the 79th Independence Day Celebration, 2025, there will be a Har Ghar Tiranga Bike Rally from Imphal to Khongjom War Memorial, Thoubal District on Tuesday, starting at 07:30 a from Hatta Kangjeibung, Imphal East.
This was said in statement released by Dr. I. K. Muivah, Addl. D. G. of Police (HR/HG) on Monday.
Demonstrating unity and national pride, patriotic fervour reverberated across the state as teachers, students and citizens alike embraced the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign on Monday.
In Thoubal, deputy commissioner Hannah Kamei, flagged off a spirited Tiranga Rally from the mini-secretariat complex. It was participated by officers, employees and residents of the district underscoring the shared spirit of participation across all levels of society.
Teachers and students of Wangoo Sellakhong Upper Primary, Mary Immaculate Catholic School, Kakching, Utlou Junior High School, Tuibong Government High School, and Rengkai Higher Secondary School organized multiple activities aligning with the objectives of the campaign, said a government release.
A team of Nongmaiching Range of the Central Forest Division hoisted the national flag atop Khalong, the highest peak of the Nongmaiching Hills reflecting the campaign’s far-reaching resonance.
Self-help group leaders of Kangmong Gram Panchayat conducted a local rally. Academic institutions like United College, Chandel, Thambal Marik College, Oinam, Malom Megha High School and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Andro marched in solidarity as part of the campaign.
In an impressive display of patriotism, students of Waikhom Mani Girls’ College, Thoubal, carried an 85-metre national tricolor during a rally organised by the college. Har Ghar Tiranga campaign was also carried out by NYKS-Mybharat volunteers at different locations of Imphal West, the release said.
