Imphal: As part of the promotional events of the 134th edition of the Durand Cup 2025 Imphal chapter, the Trophy Tour was scheduled to begin at 10.30 am on Thursday at Sendra, Loktak Lake, and will traverse prominent routes across Imphal city, culminating at the City Convention Centre, Imphal.
The tour will take place in presence of weightlifter Saikhom Mirabai Chanu and other high ranking Army officers.
The Trophy Showcasing Ceremony will be graced by Manipur governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla and chief secretary Prashant Kumar Singh, at the City Convention Centre following the conclusion of the tour.
Durand Cup 2025 will run from July 23 to August 23. The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu officially flagged off the trophies at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on July 4.
Group F matches featuring teams, TRAU FC, NEROCA FC, Indian Navy FT, and Real Kashmir FC will be witnessed at the Khuman Lampak Sports Complex main stadium.
Football fans can look forward to six intense matches spread across seven dates, on July 30, August 1, 4, 7, 10, and 12. All matches were scheduled to start at 4:00 pm.
The Imphal chapter expects to draw large crowds, with supporters turning up in full force to cheer for their favourite teams.
