Imphal: Manipur Police has arrested one person who was ferrying opium along NH-2 (Imphal-Dimapur road) amid the rising issues of drug trafficking in Manipur and other parts of the North East India.
The drug smuggler was identified as Sandeep Deswal, 35.
Opium weighing 17.34 kgs and one four-wheeler were seized from T. Khullen, NH-2 under Senapati police station, Senapati district, said Manipur Police Control Room.
