Imphal: Security forces have recovered arms and ammunition from Saheibung peak, Zero point-Kotzim road under New Keithelmanbi police station in Kangpokpi district of Manipur.
Search operations and area domination have been a daily routine for the security forces since the eruption of Manipur crisis.
The recovered arms were one 5.56 Heckler and Koch G3 Rifle with magazine, one .32 pistol with magazine, one 9 mm pistol with magazine, 10 7.62 mm rounds of ammunitions, one Single Barrel rifle and two Tube Launchers.
Security forces also arrested two active cadres of KCP (Taibanganba) organisation from Langmeidong area, Kakching district. “They were involved in extortion activities in Sugnu, Chairel and Kakching Khunou area under Kakching,” said policet.
They were identified as Mayanglambam Sanathoi Singh, 30 and Sanasam Suraj Singh, 27.
