2 arms dealers arrested in Churachandpur, 1 militant arrested in Imphal, arms recovered

Imphal: Security forces arrested two arm dealers from Lanizang Village, Churachandpur district on Thursday.

They are identified as Jangrieu Haokip, 33, and Lililn Haokip, 42.

One 9 mm Carbine Machine Gun 1A1 with magazine, one Pistol with magazine, 123 live round ammunition, one four wheeler and two mobile handsets, said police on Friday.

Manipur Police arrested one active cadre of KCP (PWG), namely Tularanjan Ingudam Meitei, 29, from North AOC near Zomi Villa gate, Imphal West on Thursday.

“He was involved in extortion activities of money from the general public, shop etc,” said police.

From his possession, one 9mm pistol along with magazine, one mobile handset and one two wheeler without registration number.

During a search operations security forces recovered one Single Barrel Gun, one, 9 mm Pistol with Magazine, one .32 Pistol with magazine, two 9 mm Ammunition, four Pompi along with one trigger and one Camouflage T- Shirt from Wakan Hill Range, Imphal East district. O

One .303 Rifle with one Empty Magazine, one 9mm Pistol (country made) with one empty Magazine were recovered from Maukot village, Churachandpur district in another operation.
