Imphal: Security forces busted two underground organisation camps, one KYKL hideout and one PREPAK camp cum training centre while conducting Cordon and Search Operation at Makou Pourabi, Imphal East district in Manipur on Wednesday.
From the KYKL hideout, one Air-gun, one keypad mobile handset with Sim, one BP Helmet and uniforms were recovered.
From the PREPAK Camp, one INSAS LMG magazine, 47 fired cartridges, one Bayonet, five wooden dummy guns, two Baofeng Walkie Talkie sets, two four-wheelers, one two-wheeler and other incriminating documents and articles, said police.
On the same day, Manipur Police arrested six cadres of KCP (PWG) organization from Bijoypur Mamang Leikai and Makha Leikai, Kakching District. They were identified as Moirangthem Achouba Singh, 43, Laishram Manglem Singh, 48, Leishangthem Dabalo Singh, 37, Leishangthem Momocha Singh, 45, Leishangthem Rohit Meitei, 23 and Okram Chaoba Singh, 44.
From their possession, three mobile handsets were recovered.
On this day Manipur Police arrested two active members of KCP (PWG) from Mantripukhri Bazar, Imphal East district. They were involved in extortion activities from the general public, private firms, govt. offices etc, police said.
They were identified as Sanjrambam Luha Meitei, 29 and Nongthombam Itombi Meitei, 35.
From their possession, two Demand Letters of the outfit KCP (PWG), 16 Cash Receipt notes of the outfit, three mobile phones, one wallet containing a sum of Rs 2200, two ID Cards, one sling bag and one scooter (Honda Activa).
Manipur Police also arrested three active members of KCP (MFL), on Wednesday from
Thangmeiband Watham Leirak crossing, Imphal West. They were identified as Gotimayum Shridevi Devi, 27, Abujam Manosh Singh, 20 and Abujam Sunder Singh.
0ne 9mm Pistol along with one magazine, one .32 Pistol along with one magazine, 10 live rounds ammunitions, three mobile handsets and one two-wheeler were recovered from their possession.
On Tuesday police arrested one cadre of KCP (PWG) from Tangkhul Avenue area under Lamphel PS, Imphal West. He was involved in extortion activities from the general public, shops, beauty parlours located in and around Tangkhul Avenue area. He was identified as Chongtham Sachikanta Singh, 22.
From his possession, onr mobile handset was recovered.
Search operations and area domination were conducted by security forces in the fringe and vulnerable areas of hill and valley districts.
During search operations, two SLR Rifle, one INSAS Rifle with magazine and five 5.56 live ammunitions from Bongbal Khullen village, Imphal East.
