Imphal: A truck loaded with eggs was set ablaze by unknown miscreants along National Highway-2 (Imphal-Dimapur) at a dumping site between Khongnem and Karong in Senapati district on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred approximately 9 km north of Senapati police station.
A team of police rushed to the spot along with a fire tender. However, most of the ten-wheeler truck (registration number AP39 UU 9977) and the eggs were already burnt.
The individuals responsible for the incident are yet to be identified. A case has been registered to apprehend the culprits, said police.
