Imphal: Manipur Home department has extended suspension of Internet and mobile data services in seven districts of Manipur for three more days.
The state government suspended the Internet services in Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Thoubal, Kakching, Kangpokpi and Churachandpur district since November 18 in view of the prevailing situation in the state following recovery of lifeless bodies of six individuals after Jiribam Violence.
People revolted against the elected representatives in valley districts of Manipur to make their stance in response to the crisis that erupted on May 3, last year.
People also demanded MLAs to resign as they cannot act against the narco-terrorists that have been attacking Meitei people and their villages.
The suspension of internet services excluded those Lease lines and FTT1-1 connections to government offices or any case whereby the atate government grants exemption.
