GP Women’s College students protest bomb threat

Imphal: GP Women’s College students protested against placing of a bomb at the college gate, here on Monday.

The grenade was found at the college gate, along Central Jail Road, approximately 200 meters south of Raj Bhavan’s main entrance

Talking to reporters, one student expressed concern over the growing violence near educational institutions. She said various sections have been advocating for “Education-free zones,” which is free from violence and conflict.

“The incident proves that conflict doesn’t exempt crime and conflict,” she said.

The students urged the state government to apprehend the culprits and ensure legal punishment.

“Talk to authority for any misunderstandings”, “Stop threatening students, we condemn bomb threat”, the protesting students raised.
