Imphal: Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh urged the people of Manipur to believe in non-violence, which had always been advocated by Mahatma Gandhi.
Biren stressed the need to resolve every issue facing the state through non-violent and political means. He also sought the people’s support and dedication in taking the state forward.
The chief minister was talking to reporters on the sideline of the observation of National Cleanliness Day/Swachh Bharat Diwas, 2024 at Gandhi Memorial Hall, Imphal on Wednesday.
He led the other dignitaries in paying floral tribute at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary.
He appealed to the public to take their part in keeping the State neat and clean.
Ministers, member of Parliament, advocate general, members of Legislative Assembly and high ranking civil and police officials also attended the observation and paid floral tribute to the Father of the Nation.
