Bombs, guns recovered

Imphal: Security forces recovered bombs, arms and ammunition from Kangpokpi and Imphal East districts during Saturday search operations.

During the last 24 hours, the situation in the state was tense but under control, said a press release.

One 7.62mm Sniper with scope, two 9 mm Pistol, one Bolt action rifle, 17 live ammunition rounds, four No 36 Hand Grenades, one IED and two Picket grenades were recovered by Manipur Police and AR from Aigejang village, Kangpokpi district.

Two 20 kg IEDs, one 2.5 kg IED and one 50 m cordtex were recovered by Manipur Police and Army from Karong Bridge near Monglham, Imphal East district.
