Imphal: A 50-year-old woman was killed in a bomb attack by unknown group in Thangbuh village, Bungte Chiru Subdivision, Sadar Hills, Kangpokpi district, on Sunday.
The incident occurred around 5 pm when the armed miscreants attacked a CRPF camp located in the village.
The attack was reportedly carried out from three different directions using explosives. During the incident, the woman sustained splinter injuries.
The combined state forces and CRPF retaliated heavily.
The deceased was identified as Nengjakhol Lungdim, wife of Sheigin Lhungdim. She was hit by shrapnel from the explosives near the village church.
