Imphal, 1 Sep 2024: One woman, villager of Koutruk in Imphal West district of Manipur, was killed by heavily armed Kuki militants and injured her daughter and four others on Sunday.
The mother was hit on her head and the daughter on her right arm. They and another injured girl were rushed to hospitals, here.
A Meitei house was damaged when a bomb was dropped using drone. No one was injured.
One police commando, who was in the reinforcement team, was hit by splinter of a drone dropped bomb. He was taken to Raj Medicity.
The attack was continuing while this report is filed. Two more persons were reportedly injured and moving towards hospital.
The attack was launched after Kuki-Zo people marched peotesr rallies, against chief minister N. Biren Singh, in Kuki-Zo dominant districts of Kangpokpi and Churachandpur on Saturday.
