INC risks national unity: Biren

Imphal: Manipur chief minister N.Biren Singh attacked the Indian National Congress and its leader Rahul Gandhi that they have repeatedly risked the nation’s unity and security to satisfy their greed for power.

Biren accused them of exposing their ulterior motives by allying with the Abdullah family’s National Conference in the Jammu and Kashmir election.

The chief was addressing reporters at his secretariat, here on Saturday.

He further posed ten different questions to the INC, including whether the Congress supports the National Conference’s promise of a separate flag for Jammu and Kashmir and whether the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi support the JKNC’s divisive politics of granting autonomy to Kashmir.

Biren also thanked the Assam Legislative Assembly, especially its chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, for passing a bill that recognises the Manipuri language as an associate state language in four different districts of Assam.
