Imphal: In continuation of the search operation and recovering of arms and ammunitions from fringed areas of Manipur, combined team of Manipur police, BSF, Indian Army recovered explosives including rockets from S. Nabil, Churachandpur district on Monday.
A statement issued by Indian Army said, acting on a specific intelligence of presence of arms and ammunition in the general area of S Nabil area, Churachandpur (Kuki dominated area), the combined team launched a search operation in and around the area.
During the activity the combined team recovered two miniature rockets, ammunition of mortar and war like stores.
The recovered items have been handed over to Manipur Police, the army statement said.
