Imphal: A cadre of Kuki National Front (Military Council), was injured and its commander German alias Thanjalam Haokip was escaped in an ambush by unknown armed miscreants at Manipur’s Churachandpur district on Friday evening.
KNF(MC), is a Kuki militant outfit. It is a signatory of Suspension of Operation (SoO) with the central government.
The incident occurred at around 8.00 pm as some unknown Maruti Gypsy borne miscreants fired some rounds at a team of KNF( MC) including commander German, when they were stationed at Molnom Endurance Library, Churachandpur, said police.
The injured cadre was Stonic, 28, of Tuibong, Churachandpur district.
He was rushed to District Hospital, Churachandpur, a source said.
