Arms, ammunition recovered

Imphal: Security forces recovered arms and ammunition from Khujairok Turel area, adjoining place of Bishnupur and Churachandpur district under Loktak Police jurisdiction, on Tuesday.

Security has been continuously recovering arms and other war like stores during search operations and area domination in the fringe and vulnerable areas of the state following the outbreak of Meitei-Kuki clash.

The recovered arms and ammunition were one SLR with one magazine, one bolt action rifle, one 9 mm empty magazine, five HE-36 hand grenade, one Chinese hand grenade, 13 thirteen .303 HD cartridge, four grenade arming ring, five tube launcher, one 2 inch mortar shell, one 81 mm mortar shell, one RPG- shell.
