Imphal: Manipur Thinkers Forum organised a one day seminar ‘A Resilent Manipur: conversations on the concept of Manipur’ at Imphal Hotel, here on Sunday.
During the first session Manipur University professor Chongtham Priyoranjan and Jawaharlal Nehru University, professor Bhagat Oinam delivered speech on “A Bridge between generations: Reconceptualising and Conceptualising Manipur”.
President of Manipur Thinkers Forum, retired lieutenant general L. Nishikanta Singh said the idea of organising the seminar is to fill up the gap between the young generation and old generation. If the gap is not fill up then contradictory concepts might come up between youths and old generation.
Priyoranjan said during the discussion the speakers will try to strengthen the idea of Manipur by comparing with the past and present.
In the second session Farizudin from Imphal College; Asheema Haobijam from Tele MANAS, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare; Civil judge, Manipur Judicial Sservices, Mangaleibi and research scholar, DMU, Chetan Yenshembam expressed their ideas on the same topic.
The conversation was moderated by associate professor IGNTU, Homen Thangjam.
