Imphal: A team of NABARD has requested Manipur governor Anusuiya Uikey to release State Focus paper 2024-25, at her convenient time and date.
The team led by its DGM, Bending Aier along with two managers called on Manipur governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan, here on Monday.
The team informed the governor about their initiatives taken up for the welfare of people especially for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) who have been staying in different relief camps in the state.
They highlighted the uninterrupted banking services rendered to the public despite having chances of looting and burglary in the banks.
Self-Help Groups and Farmers Producers Organisation (FPO) have been formed by NABARD. Financial literacy campaigns, skill training programmes like crafting, plastic moulding etc. have also been launched for IDPs in relief camps in Churachandpur and Imphal West district respectively, they added.
The governor appreciated their efforts and asked to extend their services to the best interest of the people especially for the IDPs in the state.
