Imphal: Weather chief minister N. Biren Singh listens or not people of Manipur has to complain the issues and grievances faced by the people in the present crisis, says Social Development Association, Kangchup.
Member of the association, Ningthoujam Ajit questioned to whom the people of Manipur will complain the issues and grievances faced in the present crisis other than the chief minister.
Social Development Associaion, Kangchup is one of a constituent body of JAC against the brutal killing of Takhellambam Manoranjan and the protest was participated by villagers of in and around Kangchup.
Ajit told reporters on Saturday in a sit-in staged at Phayeng Bazaar, Imphal West that since the crisis erupted a total of seven persons (Meitei) have been killed by the Kuki militants.
On November 7 last year one Leichonbam Abemcha, 39, wife of L. Tondon was succumbed to her bullet injury in an incident occurred at Kangchup Kharam after giving her treatment at the hospital. In connection with that incident the JAC formed in connection with the incident had submitted a memorandum demanding to deploy more security forces in the area, he said.
During the moment the chief minister failed to fulfil his commitment. Due to lack of security forces in the area, Kuki militants killed Manoranjan on January 18, he added.
The state government has been remaining as a silent spectator although Kuki militants continue to kill villagers. People of Manipur are in daze what complaint has to be made to the government, said Ajit.
He said people of the area will give full support on any activity carried by the JAC formed in connection with the killing of Manoranjan.
