Imphal: Manipur State AIDS Control Society (MACS) on Thursday launched a two-day integrated health camp at RDO Lamshang, in Imphal West.
Director Haobam Rosita launched the health camp, during which Extended Outreach activities were conducted at Maklang, Salam, Patsoi Part 3, Phayeng, Khurkhul and Sekmai under Haorang Sabal block. The camp will conclude on Friday.
Apart from the general health check-up, HIV and Syphilis screening, STI/RTI screening and treatment, TB screening, Hepatitis B and C screening, Hepatitis B vaccination were also conducted. A total of 180 (106 male and 74 female) individuals avail the services.
The camp was organised by Manipur State AIDS Control Society in collaboration with Directorate of Health, NHM, AYUSH, National TB Elimination Programme, National Viral hepatitis programme and District AIDS Prevention Control Committee, Imphal West.
Similar such camps will also be held at Sawombung, Keirao Bitra and Wangoi blocks covering 14 villages, MACS said.
