Employees of the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences has revoked its sit-in protest cautioned to be conducted today after the director of the institute Laishram Deven of the institute has assured to fulfil their demand.
The employees had cautioned the hospital authority to stage a sit-in in front of the office of the medical superintendant pressing to transfer their two months pending salary at their respective bank accounts by yesterday.
After Deven has assured to transfer the salaries of the staff in their bank accounts on Monday, the employees decided to withdraw their strike scheduled to launch today.
As the JNIMS authority has failed to keep the promise which was made several times to clear the pending remunerations we took the option to launch strike. We will not remain silent if our demand is fulfilled as promised by the director today, said an employee.
