Since the eruption of the crisis, over 70,000 people including students have been displaced from vulnerable spots both from hills and valley in order to prevent from any sort of violence. To avoid from educational drop out, the state government has allowed to get free admission to all the stranded students at nearby suitable schools.
Despite state government’s initiatives, various civil society organisations have been providing books and other educational materials to the stranded students at most of the relief camps.
During the educational programme a teacher of Bhairodan Maxwell Hindi High School, Tanuja Khumukcham said the programme is conducted to enhance memory, writing skills, concentration, observation skills and others.
A competition related to education among the students staying in the relief camp was also organised.
