Manipur Police Sports Club grabbed three gold medals in the master category of the 35th State Arm Wrestling Championship 2017 held at Community Hall Iranpham Thongkhong, Kongpal.
The opening day saw M. Jiban Singh of Manipur Police Sports Club grabbed the gold in the 80 kg category while Md. Kalam of MYASA fetch the silver and N. Ranjit Singh took the bronze medal. The second gold for the policemen came in the 90 kg with Th. Okendro along with compatriot Md .Abdul got the gold and silver.
Manipur Police Sports Club landed on theirs gold when Th. Tondon Singh beat Kh. Sanjitkumar for the gold and silver medals in the 110 kg.
MYASA also grabbed two gold medal with Th. Othelo winning the gold beating T. Jayenta of Manipur Police, who settle for the silver medal in the 70 kg category. Kh. Buddha of MABOY collect the bronze medal. The second gold for MYASA came from the junior boys 50 kg category as they make a clean sweep with Th. Sanayai taking the gold while compatriots Th. Premjit and Th. Bambam fetch the silver and bronze medals.
In the 100 kg master category, Th. Sharat of EK beat K. Dhanabir of Manipur Police Sports Club for the gold and silver medals.
Kh. Pintu fetch the second gold medal for EK team in the junior boys 50 kg category beating Th. Wilson of MYASA.
