PREPAK (PRO) CADRES SURRENDER TO THE CHIEF MINISTER

Recieving two surrendered militants of PREPAK (PRO) today chief minister Biren Singh Singh said the surrender policy for the rehabilitation of the surrendered militants to join the mainstream will be reviewed.
A homecoming ceremony of the two cadres of PREPAK (PRO) who surrendered to the chief minister was held the chief minister’s secretariat.
He said the new surrender policy would accommodate more humane features and assured that the government would give protection and shelter to the property, lives and families of those who have surrendered to the government to join the mainstream. He appreciated the two surrendered cadres for coming to join the mainstream with having faith in the new government and hoped that more will follow the suit.
The two surrendered PREPAK (PRO) cadres were Sergeant Major Salam Sitoljit alias Seven Kumar alias Seven Star Singh aged 28, s/o S. Phulchand of Uripok Khumanthem Leikai and (2) S/S Corporal Pebam Bishorjit alias Tomcha Singh aged 24, s/o P. Rojit Singh of Kiyamgei Awang Leikai. The former came from Eastern Nagaland, B2 Camp Taka, Myanmar and the latter came from Nongket, NCTF( Nongpok Chingkhei Task Force), Myanmar camps to join the mainstream.
The homecoming function was attended by deputy chief minister Y. Joykumar and cabinet ministers, parliamentary secretaries, DGP, additional chief secretary(Home) and other top ranking police ofiicials.
