Imphal: Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh has met representatives of various civil society organisations (CSOs) and discussed to successfully implement the Go to Hills mission 2.0.
Biren launched ‘Go to Hills 2.0’ in a function held at Peace Ground, Tuibong, Churachandpur on Monday to accelerate development in the hill districts and bring governance to people’s doorsteps.
He said he had a productive meeting with CSOs from Ukhrul on Thursday at his office.
“They extended their support for Go to Hills 2.0 initiative and futher discussed about various ways in which we could approach the mission to deliver its success to our brothers and sisters,” Biren writes on his Facebook wall.
On the previous day the chief minister interacted with representatives of CSOs from Kangpokpi and discussed about various issues in the district. “I’m thankful for their support of the Govt’s Go to Hill 2.0 initiative,” Biren said.
A meeting was held with the ST Morcha of BJP and discussed about our upcoming programs of Go to Hills 2.0. The functionaries of ST Morcha also shared their inputs to further the reach of the mission.
Biren also met with the representatives of CSOs from Chandel district. They shared their satisfaction on the government’s policies and the developmental projects that are being taken in the hill districts, he said.
The chief minister also had a ‘productive discussion’ about various initiatives taken up by the government for development of the Churachandpur district with the representatives of CSOs of Churachandpur at his office.
