Imphal: Out of 17 Covid-19 related deaths four 1st dose Covid-19 vaccinated persons died of Covid in Manipur.
“Out of 17 deaths, 15 persons had co-morbidities. Only four of them were vaccinated for 1st dose,” Manipur Covid-19 common control room said on Tuesday.
On the third day of total curfew Manipur witnessed 17 Covid-19 related deaths, 1127 fresh cases and 736 recoveries.
The cumulative number of deaths was 1409.
The fresh cases were confirmed out of 7279 samples test result released on Tuesday. The positivity rate was 15.5 percent.
Imphal West recorded the highest fresh cases of 350 followed by Imphal East with 321 cases and Churachandpur with 111 cases. Other new positive cases belonged to Bishnupur (90), Thoubal (78), Kakching (77), Chandel (22), Kangpokpi (18), Tamenglong (14), Tengnoupal (10), Noney (9), Ukhrul (8), Jiribam (7) Pherzawl (2) and CAPF (15).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 86,723. The number of active cases is 10,067. The recovery rate is 86.76 percent, the control room said.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 1864 D-type oxygen cylinders and 351 13-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.
As on Monday 1066127 doses of vaccine (1st dose 946675 and 2nd dose 119452) have been administered.

To break the spreading chain of the contagion Manipur government enforced 10-day Total Curfew all over the state on July 18.
Security forces have been strictly prohibiting people coming out of their homes. Roads in all parts of the state remained deserted since the enforcement of the total curfew.
