Imphal: Manipur government has decided to give priority to vaccinated workers and employees when institutions, organisations, factories, shops, markets, private offices, etc., are opened after relaxation of the curfew and restrictions imposed in the state.
Curfew had been imposed till June 30 in Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Thoubal, Kakching, Churachandpur and Ukhrul.
State government will be relaxing the curfew and containment zone orders in future in a calibrated manner by assessing the Covid infection scenario, special secretary, home, H. Gyan Prakash said in a notification on Wednesday.
While opening up without compromising public health safety, it has been considered prudent to prioritise opening of institutions, organizations, factories, shops, markets, private offices etc. where its employees and workers are Covid vaccinated. This would also apply to NREGA job card holders and workers of government and private projects, the notification said.
Therefore, a notice is hereby given to all persons to get vaccinated at the earliest. There are several fixed vaccine centres where anyone above 18 years can walk-in and be vaccine, the secretary said.
State government would be ready to arrange special vaccine sessions if number of beneficiaries is 150 or more. Any organisation or group is welcome to contact the deputy commissioner of the districts or the State Mission director, NHM, #9436206298 for organising such a special session.
