One expired of Covid-19, 54 more positive

Imphal: In the past 24 hours (Sunday 4 pm to Monday 4pm) one 61 years old man expired of Covid-19 at Shija hospital while as 54 persons were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases pushing the active cases to 296 in Manipur.

The new cases belonged to Imphal East (24), Imphal West (22), Thoubal (5), Kakching (1), Churachandpur (1) and Kangpokpi (1).

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, state Covid-19 common control room said.

The cumulative number of Covid related deaths increased to 377.

Twelve Covid-19 patients were discharged from CAPF (1), Home Isolation (10) and RD Wing (1).

The cumulative number of positive cases has risen to 29,775. The recovery rate has fallen to 97.73 percent.
