Imphal: Manipur government has constituted a fact- finding committee for submission of a report on the circumstances leading to the firing incident which had taken place on March 29 at Sandang Senba Maring, Kangpokpi district and to recommend measures to avoid such incident in future.
It was notified for information of all concemed that any person who is desirous of submitting documents evidence on the circumstances leading to the incident, etc., may do so, at the office of the RD and PR commissioner Nidhi Kesarwani at Room No. 210, Secretariat (South Block), Imphal between 10 am -12 on all working days on or before March 4.
Submission of such document or evidence will be allow., subject to observance of all applicable SoP norms issued in this regard in connection with Covid-19 pandemic and with entry of persons in the said office restricted to not more than five persons at a time for such submission, the notification said.
“Had a meeting with both the communities from Andro & Sandangsengba Maring village and listened to their issues regarding the land dispute. After a thorough discussion with both the communities, I have assured them of constituting a Committee to conduct an inquiry into the dispute with DGP, concerned DCs, SPs, Forest officials as members. Once constituted, the Committee will submit the report within 10 days,” chief minister N. Biren Singh writes on his Facebook wall.
