Imphal: One Myanmar citizen died while seven others injured when Myanmar Army opened fire on the public at Tamu Town of Moreh bordering India.
Of the injured persons three were brought to Imphal and admitted at JNIMS (2) and RIMS (1).
According to the injured persons in Imphal hospitals, an anti-military rally was held in Tamu town on Thursday morning. In the evening around 6.30 PM, the Myanmar Army came to the town and indiscriminately fired on the public and eight persons sustained bullet injuries. One expired on the spot while the four were hospitalized in the Grace Hospital in Tamu, and three sneaked out of Myanmar.
The injured persons in Imphal were identified as one Phuyoo alias Phuzo, 32, Nyae Yoon alias Konanoo, 29 and Nay Nay Thoo alias Nyu Nyu Thun, 31.
Naye Yoon has been admitted at RIMS hospital, Phuyoo and Nay Nay Thoo were admitted at JINMS hospital.
Phuyoo had bullet injury at the abdomen, Nyae Yoon received bullet injury at his right chest, right knee and his head was also injured and Nay Nay Thoo received bullet injury in the ride side of his buttock.
Phuyoo was said to be in critical condition and advised for operation. The bullet injury has damaged his kidney and intestine.
