Gatherings for social, religious, customary ceremonies restricted to 50 persons

Imphal: State Executive Committee of the State Disaster Management Authority has reiterated its earlier orders that the size of the family gatherings for social, religious and customary ceremonies should be strictly restricted to 50 or less persons.

Size of the gathering for religious, sports, entertainment and cultural should be strictly restricted to 100 or less persons, an order issued on Tuesday said.

All deputy commissioners and district superintendents of police shall enforce The Manipur Epidemic Diseases (Enforcement of Covid-19 Guidelines) Regulation, 2020 strictly, it added.

The gathering restrictions was issued acting on reports indicating that ‘there is laxity in adherence and enforcement of the Covid Appropriate Behaviour and Standard Operating Procedures and the additional conditions relating to gatherings’.
