Imphal: A total of 284 persons including seven personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases as on Tuesday.
The positive cases were from RIMS (11), JNIMS (49), Mother’s Care (5), Christian Hospital (1), Escent Diagnostics (3), Thoubal (11), Noney (1), Shija Hospital (10), Kangpokpi (7), Churachandpur (9), Tengnoupal (6), Imphal West (58), Jiribam (1), Imphal Hospital (34), Sielmat (5), Imphal East (12), Bishnupur (5), Kakching (14), Senapati (1), Babina Diagnostics (24), Advance Hospital (5) and Raj Medicity (12).
The positive cases from general population were from Imphal West (109), Imphal East (58), Thoubal (14), Ukhrul (2), Jiribam (1), Noney (1), Kangpokpi (9), Kakching (14), Ukhrul (1), Tamenglong (34), Churachandpur (15), Tengnoupal (6), Senapati (1) and Bishnupur (12).
Four from IW were returnees from other states while the rest are locals without any significant travel history. They were being shifted to the COVID care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing were in place.
COVID-19 common control room said, in the last 24 hours, four males aged 58 years (Churachandpur), 79 years (Thoubal), 62 years (Imphal West) and 41 years (Imphal East) expired at Shija Hospital (3) and RIMS (1). The cumulative number of deaths was 121.
The total of 146 patients were from CAPF (2), Home Isolation (5), JNIMS (5), RIMS (5), PR Kakching (13), Tamenglong (18), Sadhbhavna (2), Lanva (4), UNACCO (39), RD Wing (13), LKK (20), TK Ukhrul (4), Kangpokpi (2), Bishnupur (6), Senapati (2), Thoubal (4) and Jiribam (2).
The cumulative number of positive cases was 16,062 (general population – 13,382 and central security personnel – 2,680). The number of active cases was 3882 (general population – 3560 and central security personnel – 322).
The recovery rate stood at 75.07 percent.
