Imphal: As on Thursday in the past 24 hours till 5 pm 180 persons from general population and10 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases.
The positive cases were from UNIMS – 50; RIMS – 6; Kakching – 29; Christian – 2; Imphal West – 18; Jivan – 3; Shija – 23; Imphal East – 1; Samaritan – 1; Senapati – 3; Thoubal – 1; Bishnupur – 2; Noney – 5; Churachandpur – 2; Raj Medicity – 7; Ukhrul – 2, RD Wing – 2; Tamenglong – 19; Remedy – 1; Babina Diagnostics – 7; Hillside – 2; Asian – 1; Samaritan – 2; Mother’s Care – 1.
The positive cases from general population were from Imphal West – 50; Imphal East – 36; Thoubal – 8; Kangpokpi – 2; Bishnupur – 17; Kakching – 2;Chandel – 1; Senapati – 5: Churachandpur – 29; Ukhrul – 5; Tamenglong – 20; Noney – 5.
Four persons (Imphal East – 1, Imphal West – 2, Bishnupur – 1) are returnees while the rest are locals without any significant travel history, COVID-19 common control room said.
Three males aged 85 years (Thoubal), 70 years (Imphal West), and 63 years (Kangpokpi) expired at RIMS, JNIMS and Shija Hospital respectively. The cumulative number of deaths is 83, it added.
A 115 COVID-19 patients were discharged are from CAPF – 6, Home Isolation – 2, RIMS – 2, Noney – 9, PR Kakching – 1, UNACCO – 27, Lamding – 15, Lambokhong – 16, Tamenglong – 10, Bisnupur – 1, Thoubal – 19, Jiribam – 4, Senapati – 1, Kamjong – 1, Kasom Khullen – 1.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 12,679 (general population – 10,190 and central security personnel – 2,489). The number of active cases is 2,877 (general population – 2,495 and central security personnel – 382). The recovery rate is 76.65 percent, the control room said.
