Imphal: Seven more persons have been confirmed positive for Covid-19 pushing the number of positive cases to 78 and active cases to 67.
Four of their samples were tested at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Imphal and three of them were tested at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal on Sunday.
Of those confirmed at JNIMS two of the ages 17 and 26 years were residents of Senapati district and were returnees from Chennai. Two of them of the same ages of 18 years were from Bishnupur district and returnees from Uttar Pradesh, Manipur Covid-19 Control Room said on Monday.
Those three confirmed at RIMS were two males of the ages 23 and 22 years and a 22 years old female from Thoubal district and returnees from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Hyderabad respectively.
“Their conditions are stable and they will be shifted to Covid Care Facilities at RIMS and JNIMS. The concerned district authorities have taken up necessary measures like containment and contact tracing,” the control room said.
