Pothashang News Service: Imphal, March 29, 2020: Imphal West deputy commissioner commissioner has on Sunday directed LPG dealers/agencies/distributors operating in Imphal West to adopt Home Delivery System to ensure availability of essential commodities to the general public during the period of lockdown in the wake of Covid-19.
An order issued by deputy commissioner Naorem Praveen Singh said the system should be adopted with immediate effect until further orders.
No distribution of LPG is allowed within the premises of the dealers/agencies/distributors, the order said.
The order was issued for successful implementation of total lockdown as decided by State Cabinet on March 23 as precautionary measures against the Covid-19 outbreak.
The deputy commissioner’s office had on March 23 issued an order restricting all the markets/shops/malls/commercial establishments running/operating within the revenue district of Imphal West to open/run except shops dealing with groceries /vegetables /medicine /milk /LPG/Petrol pumps.
The district supply officer (CAF and PD), Imphal West shall be the nodal officer in respect of Imphal West District in order to ensure and implement the arrangement strictly, the order said.
