Union home minister Rajnath Singh today assured the people of Manipur that the state’s territorial integrity will not be affected in anyway due to the frame work agreement with the NSCN (IM) and government of India.
Rajnath made the assurance while addressing at the releasing function of Vision Document 2017 of BJP Manipur Pradesh MFDC hall in Imphal.
The home minister categorically stated that single inch of Manipur will not be separated. However he did not disclose the points in the agreement which the people of the state deserves to know.
The Vision document included commitment to protect Manipur’s territorial integrity, culture and its people, assurance of one family one job opportunity to every household, providing free education to women till graduate and establishment of highway protection force for blockade free Manipur among others.
Students took up their agitation raising the slogan to disclose what is in the framework agreement.
The home minister was accompanied by Assam finance minister Hemanta Biswa Sharma and chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu.
Later the BJP leaders participated at the election campaign meeting of its Thangmeiband constituency candidate Jyotin waikhom held at Thangmeiband Athletic ground.
