Tamenglong people outrage

A section of people today burnt the effigy of deputy chief minister of Manipur Gaikhangam who also holds the portfolio of home minister.

The citizens protested against the minister and all shops and trade business were shut down with the burning of the effigy at a market place in Tamenglong.

Protestors say Gaikhangam has ignored the people of Tamenglong which invited the protest.

The deputy CM today filed nomination paper at DC office Tamenglong.

All the vehicular movements between Tamenglong and Imphal were stopped, said a source.
