Imphal, Feb 3, 2018: Manipur Peoples’ Party (MPP) is set to organise its general conference at Gandhi Memorial hall at 9 am tomorrow along with its party presidential election which is organised for every three years.
Party’s state returning officer Th. Udoi Luwang briefing the reporters at MPP office said, 377 delegates will participate in the conference. It will take six resolutions on issues of AFPA, ILP, boundary issue, framework agreement, employment generation and political economy, he added.
The regional party will announce the steps to be taken up on these issues by the party, said Udoi.
Election to elect party’s president will also be conducted on this day. Seven candidates filed nomination. One candidate was rejected and two of them were withdrawn on January 16. Four candidates are contesting in the party election.
