Some candidates who are intending for BJP ticket to contest in the ensuing state legislative assembly election do not loss their hope to be in the list of 29 BJP candidates which has not yet been announced.
In the ‘16 Sekami assembly constituency’ there are four BJP intending candidates among whom Heikham Dingo Singh is one who is aiming high to get the ticket and he is very sure of fighting the election on BJP ticket. He said if he fails to get the ticket my stand is upto the decision of the people.
This is the second time for Dingo to contest in the Sekami constituency that has 26, 690 voters. He opined that Sekamai even though is not very far from the Capital city Imphal, his constituency lacks development to the worst. He wants to begin with the road infrastructure, health and education first as a representative of his people.
The BJP intending candidate among four in the same constituency appeals the people to go with whims of money force, instead to choose a representative who would think for the welfare of the people.
Dingo expressed his feelings on the occasion of a gathering of his supporters from all the 38 polling booth at his residence at Khurkhul. So far the BJP has announced 31 of its candidates and the remaining 29 seats candidate list has not yet been announced.
There have been cases of leaving the political parties for which the intending candidates were working for and joining other parties. Yesterday Jyotin Waikhom who is gearing up to contest in the election from Thangmeiband AC had left Congress and joined BJP while his rival Khumukcham Joykishan had already left BJP and Joined Congress.
So far the Congress has not announced its candidates list.
