Imphal: A team of Cyber Crime police station, Manipur on Friday arrested two cyber-criminals who were involved in operating mule bank accounts.
They were identified as Kongkham Apu Singh, 32, of Thoubal Athokpam Awang Leikai, Thoubal district and Yengkhom Rasheshwori Leima, 39, of Thoubal Wangmataba Sorok Makha, Thoubal district.
“They lured others to open bank accounts and used those accounts for transferring and layering of cyber-fraud money in collusion with other cyber-criminals,” Manipur Police said on Saturday.
From their possession, three mobile phones and other incriminating items were seized.
Investigation is underway and efforts are on to arrest others who are involved in the racket, said police.
