Imphal: Manipur Police arrested two drug smugglers from the vicinity of Pioneer Camp, along NH-102B, Singhat-PS, Churachandpur district, on Tuesday.
The arrestees were identified as Lungousiem of Songpi Kholui village, and Ngamminlal of Songpi village.
From their possession 111 soap cases containing contraband Brown Sugar, weighing approximately 1.3 Kgs in total, a two-wheeler, Yamaha MT 15, black colour, bearing registration number MN 01AF 9857, and a four-wheeler, Mahindra Bolero, bearing registration number MN 04AF 5742, said Manipur Police Control Room.
On Monday, Manipur Police arrested one Kshetrimayum Naoba, 34, of Kwakeithel Ningthemkol, Imphal West district from Imphal College area under Singjamei police station, Imphal West district.
From his possession 288 bottles of psychotropic substances Codeine Phosphate, and an E-Rickshaw bearing registration number MN01A/J9040 which was used for transporting the contraband were seized.
