Imphal: Directorate of Health Services, Manipur has confirmed 12 new Dengue cases in Manipur on Thursday.
Seven of the new cases belonged to Imphal West, three in Imphal East, one each in Ukhrul and Bishnupur.
This was updated by the Health directorate on the official website https://manipurhealthdirectorate.mn.gov.in/ .
It indicated a sharp rise of 340 Dengue cases in August. A total of 470 cases have been detected this year, and had claimed one life in Bishnupur district.
Imphal recorded the highest number of positive cases of 345, followed by Imphal East with 57 cases and Thoubal with 23 cases in the current year.
Fifteen of the total cases belonged to Bishnupur, eight to Senapati, seven to Kakching, six to Ukhrul, two each to Chandel and kamjong, and one each to Kangpokpi, Tamenglong, Noney, Tengnoupal and Churachandpur. Jiribam has no record of Dengue positive case this year.
